ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The EVTM workshop is a two-day procedures-based workshop that will teach participants how to confidently perform a wide range of basic and complex endovascular procedures.
It is designed for all doctors who wish to advance their clinical skills and knowledge in the challenging area of trauma.
As advances in endovascular and hybrid techniques for bleeding control and resuscitation become more frequent there is a need for discussion and training platforms to skill clinicians.
The EVTM workshop is designed for trauma surgeons, emergency department consultants, intensivists, anaesthetists, prehospital physicians and Interventional radiologists.
The aim of this workshop is to stimulate mutual learning and sharing experiences while practising endovascular resuscitation and trauma management, using a multidisciplinary team approach.
“No ego just good science and cooperation” is the focus of this meeting.
We will explore different endovascular and hybrid methods of resuscitation sessions with a heavy emphasis on acquiring bleeding control in the trauma patient. The workshop will incorporate positive pressure flow loop simulators, fresh cadavers and live animal* lab sessions will have a heavy emphasis on acquiring hands on skills for the management of the complex bleeding/trauma patient.
